Snohomish County sheriff's deputies are searching for three armed suspects in an attempted home robbery in Bothell Wednesday afternoon.

The attempted robbery happened around 1:40 p.m. at a home in the 2400 block of 171st SE. Deputies believe the homeowner was "pistol whipped" by one the suspects; he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies and a K9 unit are looking for three male suspects, all believed to be in their 20s.

The first suspect is described as a black male wearing a blue and white jacket and jeans. The second suspect was a shorter black male wearing a black shirt and gray pants. The third suspect was described as a tall white male wearing a hat and striped shirt. At least one of the suspects is believed to be carrying a weapon.

An Everett School District spokesperson confirmed Cedar Woods Elementary and Woodside Elementary were briefly in modified lockdown due to police activity in the area. The lockdowns have since been lifted.

If you have any information on the attempted robbery or suspects, call 911 immediately.
