Amber Alert cancelled for Pierce Co. detective's daughter

The Amber alert for a mentally impaired 16-year-old girl has been canceled. Briana Troyer was found safe with Terrence D. Powell in north Tacoma Wednesday morning.

Troyer disappeared around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tower Bowling Lanes with Powell, a 21-year-old registered sex offender.

Troyer was at the bowling alley with the Wilson High School bowling team, but refused to get into her friend's car to leave. Surveillance video shows her leaving with Powell.

Powell is a Level 1 sex offender., meaning he is considered at the lowest risk to re-offend.

The girl's father is a Pierce County Sheriff’s Department detective.
