One arrested, one on the lam tied to rash of burglaries in N. Idaho

POST FALLS, Idaho -- Post Falls Police said they made an arrest Wednesday evening that may be connected to a recent rash of burglaries.
 
Investigators said a neighbor in the area of 16th and Jag Street spotted two men kicking in a door. As witnesses described the suspects' car to police, the suspected vehicle drove my.

Police stopped the vehicle, the passenger exited and ran. The driver, James Edward Porter III, was arrested. Porter was not cooperating with police.

Police are still looking for the second man. This afternoon, they identified the second suspect as Samuel Fetterhoff.

Post Falls Police Captain Pat Knight said the suspects are responsible for two break-ins Wednesday. Detectives found stolen property inside the suspects' vehicle.

Police believe the suspects may be connected to the string of daytime burglaries over the past month.
        
There were at least 70 burglaries in Kootenai County in September, and eight incidents in Post Falls over the past three days.

Porter made his first cout appearance Thursday afternoon. He is charged with 2 counts of burglary and 2 counts grand theft.
