SPOKANE -- Authorities in Stevens County recovered the body of a 21-year-old Spokane man who went missing in the Spokane River Friday.
Iosif Sin was swimming in an area south of Ford, Washington.
Rescue crews discovered the body under ten feet of water around 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
The body was recovered in the same general area where the man went missing, said Stevens County Sgt. Jim Caruso.
An autopsy confirmed Sin died from drowning. Authorities don’t suspect foul play.
Rescue personnel adjusted levels at the Long Lake Dam and the Little Falls Dam while they recovered the body.
Members of the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office, Stevens County Dive Team, Spokane Tribal Police and Avista workers aided in the search and recovery.
