Time is precious and on Saturday you received an extra second of it. International timekeepers added a second to the clock.

They did it to synchronize the official atomic clock with the earth, which is slowing down a fraction of a second due to the tidal pull of the moon.

The experts say they won't add another leap second until 2015 or 2016.
