SPOKANE-- A memorial grew Tuesday for a man who brought fresh produce and generosity to Spokane's West Central neighborhood.
Neighbors say James Clancy brought warmth to West Central.
James Clancy was picking up produce for his stand behind the Maxwell House Tavern. A dump truck hit the driver’s side of his delivery van killing Clancy at Geiger Blvd and Thomas Mallen Road.
His produce was reasonably priced and he didn't keep any of the profit. Retired from the military, Clancy donated his profits to west central charities like the cops shop and community center.
Clancy leaves behind a wife, three daughters and a son, along with, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
