SEATTLE  -- A woman found dead on Seattle's Burke Gilman Trail Friday morning has been identified as 26-year-old Jowanna Gooden.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office said she died of a gunshot wound to the head. Her death is now being investigated as a homicide.

A passerby called Seattle police around 4:30 a.m. after finding Gooden's body in the 2400 Block of North Northlake Way in the Wallingford neighborhood near the Lake Washington Ship Canal.

Police do not believe it was a random attack.

No arrests have been made and detectives continue to investigate.
