SHORELINE, Wash. - Shoreline firefighters have issued an emergency bulletin to all fire crews, warning them of a man who assaulted one firefighter and threatened to kill others.

The King County Sheriff's Department says Gregory Thomas Babb was arrested last Wednesday for felony assault and harassment and later released.

Police say he called 911 for a medical problem, then attacked firefighters.

Deputies found an arsenal of weapons, including two dozen guns and 23,000 live rounds in his bedroom.

"It doesn't really matter whether it's a lot or one," King County Sheriff's spokesman John Urquhart said. "If someone is bent on using that weapon against a first responder, then we're very interested and we're gonna try to put a stop to it."

The suspect's attorney tells us the prosecutor did not file charges Monday because they're trying to figure out whether a medication issue may have caused Babb's erratic behavior.
