Thieves steal U-Haul with everything woman owns

A woman moving from Illinois to Alaska had her U-Haul and minivan stolen after she stopped for the night at a hotel in Everett Wednesday.

Everett Police say the Kristin Shaulis, 39, stayed at the Best Western at 2800 Pacific Avenue. When she went outside Thursday morning, the U-Haul box truck was gone along with a car dolly that was carrying her minivan. Everything Shaulis owns was in the U-Haul.

Surveillance video shows a dark-colored Jeep Commander driving up to the U-Haul around 6:50 a.m. A passenger got out and drove away in the U-Haul.

Police say the truck is 14-foot box truck has Arizona license plate AE56627. The car dolly is carrying a black 1999 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Illinois license plate R679783.
