TACOMA -- The trial of three men and one woman accused of helping cop killer Maurice Clemmons went to the jury Thursday.
Defense attorneys concluded their closing arguments for Letricia Nelson, Rickey Hinton, Eddie Davis and Douglas Davis.
The four suspects are accused of helping Clemmons after he murdered four Lakewood Police officers, Sgt. Mark Renninger and officers Tina Griswold, Greg Richards and Ronald Owens, at a Parkland coffee shop last November.
Attorney for Douglas Davis, Kent Underwood, said any help his client provided, he did because he feared for his own life.
"What do you do when a man who has just killed four police officers is going crazy, who has a gun, who's been shot?" said Underwood. "He says, 'Lets go.' What do you do? You go."
Two women have already been convicted of helping Clemmons. They were sentenced to five years in prison.
