A man suspected of shooting two people at two different locations was found dead Saturday night of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The King County Sheriff's Office said 48-year-old John McKay was found dead in his vehicle in the 13000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way in the Skyway area.
Police believe he shot a woman in Issaquah and a man in Renton.
Renton Police say at about 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 4100 block of NE 5th Street.
Mark Martinez, who lives next door, said he came home to find the victim lying on his back porch.
"There's blood and medical supplies all over my back porch," he said.
Police say the male victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries, and two adults were taken to Valley Medical Center to be treated for injuries due to being “pistol whipped.”
Police say after the Renton shooting, the suspect chased his former mother-in-law through her Issaquah home and through the back yard, shot her several times. She was in serious condition Saturday night.
McKay also abducted an 11-year-old from the Issaquah shooting scene. The child was later returned safe to family.
The King County Sheriff's Office says they have had contact with McKay in the past.
