SEATTLE - KING 5 News has learned a settlement "in principle" has been reached between ING Financial Partners and some clients of disgraced eastside investment guru Rhonda Breard.
Mark Firmani, a spokesman for attorney Steve Berman, says that the specifics of the deal are still being hammered out and they retain the right to refile the civil action if talks break down.
Breard, who made a name for herself on TV and radio with her "Help Me Rhonda" segments, pleaded guilty to one count of federal mail fraud in a scheme which robbed her clients of more than $9 million.
Breard ran Breard and Associates Wealth Management and was licensed to sell securities through Des Moines, Iowa-based ING.
Breard faces up to 10 years in prison when she is sentenced next month.
