Seattle Mayor Ed Murray says he'll announce a plan Thursday for raising the city's minimum wage

Wednesday was the final meeting of the mayor's Income Inequality Advisory Committee. A crowd in favor of a $15 minimum wage rallied in front of City Hall.

One mom said she had to take a second job to pay for child care so she could work her first job.

Opponents say small restaurant owners and the like simply can't afford a $ 15 dollar minimum wage.

Susanna Tran says while some jobs might deserve that kind of pay, not all of them do.

"Every person's going to be different. To say that everybody should get paid $15 an hour, and it could be something as simple as stuffing envelopes really... right?"

Murray said he will announce a plan for raising the minimum wage but it's not clear what that means. in a statement late Wednesday afternoon, he said: “We are very, very close to a deal that all stakeholders can agree with, but we are still not there yet."
