FALL CITY, Wash. -- An overnight search was unable to locate a truck that was reported in the Snoqualmie River at Fall City.
"The water is real dark and of course the middle of the night doesn't help," Battalion Chief Glenn Huffman said.
The 911 call came in just after midnight. A witness said he saw the tail lights disappearing in the water around midnight Sunday. Damaged brush indicates a vehicle went into the river.
"I was driving by and saw the bushes knocked down, and then saw the back end of the truck disappear," said Pat Harig, the witness who called in the incident.
A spokesman for fire department rescuers told KING the water was too swift and the search had to be called off until daylight Monday.
