SEATTLE  -- A recount scenario is looking likely for a proposal that would bring a $15 minimum wage to workers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Results released on Monday show the proposal passing by a 46-vote lead, a margin unchanged from Saturday's count. The "yes" side leads 2,995 to the 2,949 voting "no."

In local initiatives, there aren't automatic recounts, but those can be requested if costs are covered.

Supporters of the initiative say they expect opponents to pay for a recount, which could be as little as $1,000.

About $1.8 million was spent during the campaign by both sides.

On election night, the initiative was leading by a 261-vote margin, leading supporters to declare victory. But they have since lost much of that advantage.
