TACOMA -- Tacoma Police are looking into whether to file charges against a blogger for allegedly trashing several teens' reputations online.
"She doesn't want to come out of her room, she's embarrassed, doesn't want to go to school," said Kim Gregorius, mother of a 16-year-old girl who was targeted.
Tacoma Police managed to get the website to shut down and remove cruel rumors about the girl and other high school students. But not before damage was already done.
Gregorius said her daughter's photo was posted on the blog along with comments on her dating life and other insulting notes.
"It's vile and disgusting," said Dan Voelpel with the Tacoma School District. "If the cyberbullying carries over to the school we can take disciplinary action."
Late Monday, the blogger removed the site, but not before posting, "I don't apologize for our blog, it was funny," and "I also think everybody is mad because a lot of things said were accurate."
Tacoma Police said the site and its implications were a serious matter, and will continue to investigate whether charges should be filed.
