A new mobile app launching in the Seattle area Friday will allow citizens to report if they have spotted what they think is a case of sex trafficking.

The app will be available for Android-powered phones and iPhones. The Seattle Times reports it will funnel anonymous tips of suspected prostitution activities to law enforcement. The data will only be available to police officers.

Users will be able to report their suspicions, give vehicle and suspect descriptions and upload GPS locations and photos.

Police say the app is also meant to teach citizens to identify signs of sex trafficking.

The program is funded by a grant by the Seattle Kiwanis Memorial Fund. It will start in Seattle and eventually go nationwide.
