It was a very special weekend for the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center in Bothell - a new temple was inaugurated on Sunday.
The ceremony was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Hindu community as this is the first authentic Hindu temple in the region.
The ceremonies are a way for the Hindu people to infuse divinity and spiritual power into the temple. They also paid tribute to the mothers who were there.
"For us, actually, every day is Mother's Day," said Om Dwivedi, Hindu Temple & Cultural Center. "Every day is mother's day for us. Nothing else can be done without the mothers, the ladies in the house."
Special activities continue until 8 p.m. Sunday.
