PUYALLUP, Wash. - A memorial stone was unveiled today to honor a Pierce County Sheriff's Deputy who was murdered late last year.

Law enforcement officials and family members gathered to see Deputy Kent Mundell's name now engraved on the stone outside Puyallup's South Precinct.

Mundell was shot and killed while responding to a domestic violence call in Eatonville in December.

His partner, Sergeant Nick Hausner, was also shot but survived.

Today, Hausner talked about the challenges he faces now that he's back on the job part-time. Hausner said "It's difficult going back to work and working in the same office where Kent used to work, and not seeing him every day like I use to see him every day. It was a difficult step."

Hausner will be back to full duty next month.
