SEATTLE – For the second straight weekend, Northbound Interstate 5 in Seattle is being shut down while transportation crews install new overhead electronic signs.
The northbound lane closures will begin at Boeing Access Road and end at the I-90 interchange. The closures go from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday and from 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday.
A signed detour will route drivers around the closure via Airport Way. Drivers should expect delays or take alternate routes such as Interstate 405 or State Route 599 to Highway 99.
Drivers should expect similar closures next weekend.
