VANCOUVER – Police have tracked down the mother of a 3-year-old boy found running down the middle of a street all alone in Vancouver Thursday.
A Good Samaritan took the boy to Washington Elementary School as police worked to try and find his parents. About three hours later, police said the boy's mother called 911. She told police she didn't realize the boy was missing at first.
Police continue to investigate and said they will reunite the child with his mother if it is not deemed a situation for child protective services to get involved in.
They have not said how the child became separated from his mother.
The blue-eyed, blond-haired boy was wearing clothes but no shoes or socks. He was in good condition, police said. The boy was found in the 2900 block of S Street.
