KALAMA, Wash. – Police were looking for a man considered armed and dangerous Wednesday.

Kalama Police said anyone who sees 29-year-old Erik Johnson should call 911. The elementary and high school were put on lockdown.

Investigators were responding to some sort of disturbance with a gun just before 1 p.m. Deputies said he had fled on a bicycle.

Johnson approached two women and threatened to kill them, according to the Longview Daily News.

Police surrounded a house on North 4th Street at one point, but did not find him.

He was described 5-foot 9 inches tall, weighing 180 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a possible cast on one arm.

Cowlitz County sheriffs said children that will normally walk home would be released to parents instead.
