PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University police are investigating what appears to be a pellet gun shooting on campus early Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1300/1400 blocks of Olympia Avenue SE. WSU's public information official said there were no injuries reported. The rear passenger window of a parked vehicle was damaged in the incident.
The university issued an emergency alert to students, faculty and staff shortly before 2 p.m., warning them to avoid the area or shelter in place. The warning was lifted approximately 15 minutes later.
A Child Care Center near the scene took appropriate precautions according to a alert from WSU.
