Olympia Police said Friday they are trying to locate a 10-day old infant who is currently with her parents and may be at risk of harm.
State Child Protective Services notified police of an order issued by Thurston County Superior Court to remove the child from her parents’ care.
The child’s mother and father, Karen Lewis and Jack Short, have no fixed address and failed to attend a doctor’s visit that was scheduled for the infant earlier this afternoon. The parents drive a yellow, 1985 Toyota pick-up, license B621696.
Police said they believe the couple are in the Olympia area.
