SPOKANE—The Department of Defense announced early Tuesday a Spokane native was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan.
Pfc. Jarrod Lallier, 20, died June 18, while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Authorities said he died after his unit took on enemy fire. Authorities said enemy forced attacked his unit with small guns and grenades.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
