This photo of Railroad Avenue in Skykomish, Wash., taken in 1905, shows the Skykomish Hotel and the Olympia tavern and pool hall to the right, which opened in 1897 by Patrick McEvoy (a Great Northern engineer). It was later renamed the Whistling Post.
