SEATTLE -- Prominent Seattle angel investor John Cunningham has bankrolled companies such as Insitu, Cheezburger and BuddyTV. Now he putting his angel wings to work again, funding a Seattle startup that's putting a digital spin on how people read the bible, reports Geekwire.
ooBible is led by former Google engineer Colin Wong, who came up with the idea behind ooBible after electronic versions of the bible were built with 1990s design and didn't suit Facebook and Kindle readers.
ooBible received $100,000 in additional financing from Cunningham. Earlier in the year, the company received $500,000 from other prominent angels such as BuddyTV CEO Andy Liu, ClassifiedAds.com CEO Edward Yim and Avidian Technologies CEO James Wong.
