SEATTLE – Apple said Wednesday the new version of the iPad will go on sale in U.S. stores and the Apple Online store at 8 a.m. local time Friday. It will also be available in nine other countries, including Canada.
The 16 GB Wi-Fi model will be sold for $499. 32GB will be $599 and 64GB will be $699. Those wanting 3G and 4G versions will pay $629, $729 or $829 for those models, respectively.
Apple also said it is lowering the price on the iPad 2. The 16 GB Wi-Fi version will be sold for $399 and $529 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi with 3G model.
