More giving up Facebook, Twitter for Lent

Think about how many times each day you check Facebook or Twitter. Now think about giving up those social networking sites for 40 days.

In a 21st century twist on the Lenten tradition, social media is becoming a popular sacrifice for those observing the season between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday, and using it as a time to refocus on personal relationships as opposed to those virtual ones.

But those who have done it before, say social media fasting is harder than you might think, as those sites become ever more ingrained in our social and business lives.
