Suspect arrested for setting fireworks ablaze inside Phoenix Walmart

Tristen Demani Bailey was arrested for setting fireworks on fire inside a Phoenix Walmart back in June.

PHOENIX - Police have arrested 20-year-old Tristen Demani Bailey for setting fireworks on fire inside a Phoenix Walmart in June.

The fire happened on June 15 at the store near Indian School Road and 51st Avenue.

Surveillance video shows the suspect and his friends by the fireworks display, the fire starting and the four running from the area.

According to court paperwork, damage to the store was estimated at more than $12 million.

After the surveillance video was released, two of the potential suspects turned themselves into police.

On September 26, Bailey was arrested by police near 99th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Police found marijuana in the glove box, along with a glass jar of marijuana under the drivers seat.

After police arrested Bailey, he urinated into a plastic cup in the police van without telling officers. When police removed the cup, Bailey became agitated and destroyed a video camera in the van.

Bailey is being held on $150,000 bond, facing charges of arson of an occupied structure, criminal damage and possession of marijuana.
