Timeline: Powell family tragedy

The Powell’s daycare provider in Utah alerts Josh Powell’s mother and sister that the couple failed to drop off their two sons. Unable to contact Josh or Susan, the family calls police. Josh tells police the next day he took his boys camping around 12:30 a.m., leaving Susan at home, and returned at 5 p.m. Over the next few days, police remove evidence from the Powell home. They are unable to locate the place Josh said he camped with his boys. After hiring a defense attorney and failing to show up for a police interview, Josh is named he is named a person of interest.
