Metrodome collapse

On the morning of Dec. 12, 2010, the inflatable roof of the Metrodome in Minneapolis sunk down and tore open as a tidal wave of snow came pouring out onto Mall of America Field. The roof collapsed under the weight of 15 feet of powder during a major Midwest snow storm. The game scheduled for that day between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants was moved to Detroit the next night.
