Phil's tearful climb to another green jacket

On April 11, 2010, Phil Mickelson walked off the 18th Green at Augusta National for the third time as champion of The Masters. But unlike his first Masters win that finally put him into the realm of elite golfers, Mickelson had something more important than a green jacket waiting for him. His wife, Amy, was there to hug him for what seemed like forever. Amy had been diagnosed with breast cancer 11 months earlier and had reportedly stayed in bed most of the week of the tournament. As he walked to the scoring trailer, a single tear trickled down his cheek to his lip – a sign of a man who had been through a lot in four days – and for 11 months.
