Northwest hummingbirds brave the snow and cold

Lake Forest Park - Mother Hummingbird is sitting on two eggs in the middle of our rhododendron garden. She is determined for her babies to hatch despite the weather and the apparent absence of her male partner. We have several nests in our yard year round and some choose to stay regardless of the adverse weather.
