YAKIMA, Wash. -- Firefighters have fully contained a wildfire that burned across a square mile near Ellensburg.
The fire was reported at about midnight Wednesday and blackened an estimated 700 acres before firefighters contained it Thursday.
Washington Department of Natural Resources spokeswoman Linda Hazlett said evacuation orders there have been lifted.
The wildfire is located in Northeast Ellensburg's Parke Creek drainage area, according to the Washington's Department of Natural Resources.
The Taylor Bridge Wildfire in Kittitas County was contained last month after it burned more than 23,000 acres and destroyed dozens of homes.
