College coaches in the NFL: Good, bad and works in progress

College record: 72-63, 5-1 bowl record; NFL record: 14-34 -- Like Green, this appeared to be another head-scratcher. After just two seasons and an 8-14 record Oregon State, Mike Riley was hired by the San Diego Chargers. He was let go three years later after winning just 14 games. He returned to Oregon State in 2003, where he has fared better overall, but posted losing records the past two seasons.
