College record: 75-26; NFL record: 3-10 -- If you're going to put a stamp on college success/NFL failure in coaching, put it here. Petrino built a great program at Louisville, leading the Cardinals to an Orange Bowl win. Then he made the move to the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately, it was the same year Michael Vick was convicted and went to prison on dogfighting charges, sending the franchise into turmoil. Petrino quit with three games remaining in his only season and signed on to coach at the University of Arkansas. After building that program to prominence, he was fired last week after revelations of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
