Salem strip club searched by FBI sex traffic team

SALEM, Ore. - The Beaverton Police Department, with help from Salem FBI agents and police, served a search warrant Friday at Cheetah's strip club in Salem.

The search warrant was related to a sex trafficking investigation involving a minor female who had been contacted by Beaverton Police detectives during an undercover prostitution investigation in July.

Detectives determined the minor had been dancing nude at Cheetah's.

Police made no arrests made on Friday. The investigation is ongoing.

The warrant was served in conjunction with Operation Cross Country X, a program spearheaded by the FBI and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to target the criminal enterprises responsible for the commercial sex trafficking of children.

The FBI also reported 1 minor sex trafficking victim recovered and 10 prostitutes arrested or cited in Portland, plus 10 sex workers arrested or cited in Eugene.

If anyone has information on minors dancing at Cheetah's, or any other strip club in the Portland Metro area, please contact Detective Chad Opitz at (503) 526-2674 or your local police department.

Beaverton Police detective Chad Opitz is assigned to the Portland FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force.

Opitz is seeking leads regarding any minor dancing in any strip club in the Portland and Salem areas.
