OLYMPIA, Wash. One day after launching a website seeking ideas for cutting the state budget, more than 500 potential cost-cutting moves have been suggested.
"I think it's absolutely phenomenal," said Marty Brown, the Governor's Budget Director.
The site called Transforming Washington's Budget gives visitors an opportunity to post ideas and comment, support or disagree with them.
Governor Chris Gregoire, D-Washington, said she wants the public to help her balance the next budget.
Budget writers could end up facing a $3 billion deficit.
