WASHINGTON (AP) — As Hillary Rodham Clinton considers another presidential bid, liberals are watching to see if she moves to the left or straddles the center.

Clinton says she hasn't made any decisions about running in 2016, and it's a looming question whether an alternative emerges.

Vice President Joe Biden is leaving his options open. Some liberals hope Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren will reconsider statements that she has no plans to run.

Others point to ex-Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer or Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley as possibilities.

Liberals say income inequality will play the same role in the 2016 race that the Iraq war played in 2008.

In the 2008 campaign, Clinton's Senate vote to authorize military force in Iraq gave an opening to rival Barack Obama, who had opposed the use of force.
