WEST LINN, Ore. - Fugitive accused burglar Clifton Arthur Chambers was located and arrested by West Linn police Monday.
Chambers had first been arrested on August 11 after a neighbor called in two suspected burglars near her home.
Chambers claimed to have swallowed a quantity of heroin and was hospitalized.
Two days later he walked out of the hospital and had been on the run since then.
West Linn Police detective Tony Poitras located Chambers at N.W. 21st Avenue and Savier Street in Portland.
Poitras obtained assistance from Portland Police Bureau in surrounding and arresting Chambers without incident.
Chambers was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on two counts each of Burglary and Theft, along with a Parole Violation warrant. His bail was set at $130,000.
