Pedestrian hit by car on I-84

BOISE -- Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a crash on I-84 in Boise

Timothy Boerin, 26, of Nampa, was driving a 1999 GMC Jimmy near the Orchard exit on I-84 when he left his lane and hit a pedestrian.

Both the pedestrian, who has not been identified, and Boerin's passenger, Brianna Boerin, 26, also of Nampa, were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Timothy Boerin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, but it is unclear if Brianna was wearing her seatbelt.

The crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
