PORTLAND – The driver who hit two pedestrians in November 2012, killing one, was issued two traffic citations.
Kimberly Dennis, 42, was cited August 6 for careless driving in connection with the November crash. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s office said no criminal charges would be filed.
On November 20, officers responded to a report of two pedestrians who were hit by a car in the 1800 block of Southeast Washington Street.
Investigators determined that Ksenia Aleksandrova, 71, and 70-year-old Pavel Krivolenkov were crossing Southeast Washington Street in a crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Dennis.
Both were critically injured. Aleksandrova later died as a result of her injuries.
The crash happened during a heavy downpour and Dennis was not impaired or speeding, officials said.
Dennis is scheduled to appear in court on September 3.
