GRESHAM, Ore. -- A tanker truck carrying septic waste overturned and spilled some of its load on a Gresham road Monday afternoon, police said.

The truck was on Southeast 11th Street, near Highway 26, when it tipped over, according to the Gresham Police Department. Orient Drive was closed at Southeast 11th Street during the cleanup.

A hazardous materials crew responded to the scene, but police said the company that owns the truck, Speedy Septic Tank, was already cleaning up the spill.

No citations were issued. The cause of the crash was not determined.
