VANCOUVER – A Vancouver man who attempted to skip out on a $20 restaurant bill Sunday was caught after he left his wallet behind, according to the Columbian.

Police said 31-year-old Adam Thomas of Vancouver refused to pay his $20 bill at El Presidente Restaurant at 312 E. Evergreen Blvd. Instead, Thomas told police that he showed a knife and fled the scene.

Thomas left his wallet at the restaurant. Vancouver police arrested him near Todd Road and 18th Street around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, a half-hour after the incident took place.

Thomas was charged with suspicion of first-degree robbery and an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Clark County Jail.
