BEAVERTON – Police in Beaverton seized 7 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m., police stopped a 30-year-old Jose Ortiz-Ledezma of Mexico on Highway 26 at northwest Cornelius Pass Road, said Mike Rowe with the Beaverton Police Department.

Officers brought in a K-9 to search the vehicle and found the bags of meth.

Ortiz-Ledezma was charged with possession, distribution and manufacture of a controlled substance and was booked in the Washington County Jail.
