Portland -- Logan Storm, a former Beaverton middle school teacher convicted of child porn possession who fled to Mexico, pleaded guilty Wednesday for failing to appear for sentencing in federal court.

Storm, 37, was captured by Mexican authorities on March 12 after he removed his ankle monitoring bracelet and fled Oregon while awaiting sentencing on a child porn possession conviction.

In August of 2010, Storm was indicted for encouraging child sexual abuse after images of child pornography were discovered on his computer. He was later convicted of child porn possession.

Storm also faces separate sex abuse charges in Multnomah County. His trial is set for July 22.

In September, he will face sentencing for failing to appear and his original conviction of child porn possession.
