Man arrested for Starbucks bathroom camera

SHERWOOD, Ore. -- Police arrested a man Tuesday for hiding a camera in a Sherwood Starbucks bathroom in May.

Captain Ty Hanlon of the Sherwood Police Department said Richard E. Ipsen, 59, of Tualatin, turned himself in to detectives at the Washington County Jail.

Hanlon said Ipsen will be charged with attempted invasion of privacy and invasion of privacy.

According to Hanlon, the device Ipsen used was an AC adaptor with a camera hidden inside.

Police also learned there were additional crimes and victims in Bend, Ore. The Bend Police Department is investigating those crimes, which involve guests at the suspect's home.

Halon credited media coverage for tips that led to Ipsen's arrest.

The camera was found hidden in the Sherwood Starbucks bathroom on May 1.
