PORTLAND -- A bicyclist was hit by a Portland Police patrol car en route to a call Thursday night, police said.
The officer was responding to the report of a burglary in progress just after 2 a.m. when the car struck the cyclist near Northeast 33rd Avenue and Killingsworth Street, said Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
The cyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries, Simpson said. The officer was not hurt.
