PORTLAND – Police arrested two suspects Friday accused of participating in a flash mob where about $1,000 worth of Levi's jeans were stolen from the Macy's store at Lloyd Center Mall Thursday night.

Shortly after 6 p.m., officers from the Gang Enforcement Team spotted the suspected silver SUV in the case driving in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Northeast Portland, said Sgt. Pete Simpson.

After pulling the vehicle over on Northeast 22nd Avenue and Northeast Morgan Street, police recognized 18-year-old Rasool Islam (left), and the driver, 18-year-old Rosaayla Campbell (right), from surveillance video in the robbery, Simpson said.

Both suspects were arrested without incident. Two other passengers were released without charges.

Islam and Campbell were booked into the Multnomah County Jail and charged with theft.
